What’s Wrong With You?
If you’re like most women with low self esteem, you are quite adept at listing your shortcomings. They probably consume a large portion of your every day thoughts. But so far, you’ve only looked at them in general terms. Misery survives in the darkness of generalities and shrouds your ability to see clearly. When you bring your issues into the bright light of specificity the veil is lifted.
I’m a fan of the What Not To Wear. If you’ve seen it, you know the show is about more than about picking out the right pants or shoes to wear. The clients generally go through an internal transformation as well. It’s an opportunity for them to face all the ways they have been rejecting themselves in a literal and figurative 360 degree mirror. It’s a gift.
So what don’t you like about yourself? Get out a pen and paper and create a list of things you’d like to change about yourself. If you need help putting your list together, use the chart below. List items that you really hate all the way to your mild annoyances. We want to get rid of all of them.
