We’ve talked a lot about what you’ve been rejecting, but what are some characteristics you DO like about yourself? Once identified, you can make that feeling of appreciation more pronounced in your life. What we focus on becomes a bigger part of our experience. Don’t wait for them to occur to you. Deliberately look for and focus on what you like.
What do you like about yourself? Look at all the areas of your life. What do you like about how you look physically? If you find yourself saying “nothing”, you will need to push yourself to find something. It’s important and It doesn’t matter how small. It could be your toe nails. There is something you like. What do you like about your personality? Do you have a good sense of humor? Do you have a way of putting people at ease? Do you like your introspective nature? Again, really push yourself to write a huge list of all the ways you shine.

Go through these questions and spend some time recognizing all the great stuff about you. If you enjoy writing, you may want to write them down.
What do you like about yourself physically?
Go from head to toe. What do you like?
(Tip: Every time you look in the mirror, find something you like and appreciate it.)
What do you like about your personality?
What talents or skills do you have that you like? Why do you like them?
Were you able to identify some qualities previously under-appreciated?
(Tip: If you wrote them down you may want to keep that list handy for weekly review and add to it. It will do wonders for your attitude.)
